-- An eye for an eye I suppose. A Texas man has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting at a crash scene of a suspected drunken driver who authorities say plowed into his sons as they helped push their family's broken-down pickup truck along a dark, narrow, rural road.
-- Staggering. Over 12 million people watched the season premiere of the Walking Dead. It's not that I don't get it, but remember...no DVR and I've been tuned to football on Sunday nights. How many seasons in are they? I don't have the time to Netflix to catch up. Another great series, that I'll have missed.
-- If shorter seasons, a la premium networks, is the key to better network TV and attracting higher profile actors for them, then let's go with it. Fox has scheduled 15 episodes of The Following, which is off to a solid start, based on star Kevin Bacon's wishes to do a smaller number of episodes, as is common in cable TV. And CBS this summer plans Under the Dome, a 13-episode miniseries based on a Stephen King novel that promises a satisfying ending but could return in success.
-- Since we're doing Fat Tuesday at Fat Fish Blue, I thought I'd share with you one of the coolest pro sports uniforms I've ever seen, and I can be a harsh critic when it comes to sports fashion. The NBA's New Orleans Hornets' Mardi Gras threads. So fitting and reflective of the regional traits.
