-- This is about you need to know about last night's Game 2 of the NBA Finals. The hand is Lebron's.

-- I realize that relations between the US and China are tense, so perhaps that's why the NSA whistleblower chose to head that way - knowing China wouldn't give him up to the US goverment - but yea, I thought the same thing...
But here is the reality. Hong Kong is not a sovereign country. It is part of China -- a country that by the libertarian standards Edward Snowden says he cares about is worse, not better, than the United States. China has even more surveillance of its citizens (it has gone very far toward ensuring that it knows the real identity of everyone using the internet); its press is thoroughly government-controlled; it has no legal theory of protection for free speech; and it doesn't evenhave national elections. Hong Kong lives a time-limited separate existence, under the "one country, two systems" principle, but in a pinch, it is part of China.
-- Good luck getting thru this without tears. A day in the life of a family who lost a child in the shooting in Newtown.
“Oh God,” Jackie said, shoulders trembling, questions and doubts tumbling out as she tried to catch her breath. “Why did we wait to enroll him in school?” she said. “He could have started a year earlier. He could have been in second grade. He was old enough.”
“We were thinking about what was best for him,” Mark said, knowing the cycle that was starting, the blame, the need for absolution. “We wanted him to be one of the oldest.”

-- Oy, so MOS (Man of Steel for you newcomers) is a giant advertisement.
While promotional tie-ins and product placement are nothing new in Hollywood – James Bond has been requesting vodka martinis, driving an Aston Martin and consulting an Omega watch for 50 years – the sheer number of partners for Man of Steel is.
The clamour to reference products has been so strong that Warner Bros has almost 100 promotional partners lined up, which has earned it $170m (£109m) already.
-- It took HOW many years for a TV version of Clue!? And yes, it's Clue.
"Whodunnit?" is not your granddad's game of "Clue," nor is it a fusty version of an Agatha Christie novel.
"CSI" creator Anthony E. Zuiker, for his first foray into unscripted TV, has come up with a show he's dubbed a "cinematic murder mystery of tomorrow" that's a bit sinister but still "fun and digestible."
It's only a matter of time before we try to kill people on a reality show.
-- Kudos to Henry Cavill for being either A. really involved in his role B. a comic nerd.
When you were filming "Man of Steel," were the words "Justice League" ever mentioned?
Not officially. Not like a producer saying, "Oh, by the way, this could lead into 'Justice League.'" It was always us fanboys or geeks saying, "Oh, I wonder if they'll make a Justice League out of this," and what that might involve. It was just people geeking out basically.
You seem to like Brainiac. If someone let you decide, is that who you'd go with next?
I think Brainiac is a great character. [Pauses] I'm not going to answer that because I would need to think about it more seriously to give an official answer in an interview.
