There are no more second chances. With the judges' one save used on Casey Abrams last week on American Idol, “no one can escape the outcome" of the public's 55 million votes, announced Ryan Seacrest at the start of Thursday's results show. And it was two singers destined to go, not just one. Even so, the show was something of a relief after the topsy-turvy Casey incident. Thia Megia and Naima Adedapo were sent home. This should have surprised no one – least of all Naima and Thia, who've had their share of ups and downs. They've never seemed secure in the competition. Naima never quite settled on how to fuse the different notes in her voice – blues, jazz, soul, pop. Not to mention dance moves. She screwed up with her reggae version of "I'm Still Standing." She didn't find a comfortable groove with it, and she didn't help matters by starting with a spoken introduction that tried to elevate the song into some sort of all-purpose anthem of triumph for difficult times. And Thia? Ah, Thia! She has a lovely voice – one of the season's best – but her consistency was her downfall. She tended to sing at the same emotional temperature from week to week. Even "Heat Wave" couldn't move the thermometer. She was most comfortable with melancholy pop: You always felt umbrellas should be distributed to the judges and studio audience in case tears started raining. She just wasn't the sort to seize the moment onstage. Thia and Naima were joined in the bottom three by Paul McDonald.

Britney Spears lasered in on Nicki Minaj as her opening act for the upcoming concert tour ... and lawyers for the two are in "serious talks." It's looking very good that Nicki and Britney will reach an agreement in the next day or so.
Nikki would take the place of Enrique Iglesias -- who bailed at the last minute because his ego could not take opening for Britney.
Nicki is currently on tour with Lil Wayne -- those concerts end on April 28. Britney's tour begins June 17 in Sacramento.

At least Lindsay Lohan picked herself up off the concrete before a 10-count during a fun-filled night downtown on Wednesday. She dropped to her hands and knees on the Lower East Side, then popped up wearing a beaming smile to go with chunky high-heel shoes and a leopard-spot coat. She never lost control of a cigarette in her left paw and a cellphone in her right. Lohan’s friends were all smiles as she peeled herself off the pavement outside the Motor City Bar on Ludlow Street. A source said she was trying to amuse her pack of pals: "Lindsay wasn’t drunk. She was goofing around, that’s why she was laughing." She did have a bit of trouble getting back up, thanks to her towering blue heels. Her clunky footwear appeared to be at least 3 inches high at the toe and 4½ inches at the heel.

The prosecutor in the Lindsay Lohan case says the fact that the alleged victim/jeweler may be selling views of the surveillance video online will have no bearing on the criminal trial.
Danette Meyers isn't fazed by Kamofie & Company purportedly selling views of the video for $2.99 a pop.
Meyers says, "The issue is whether Lindsay stole the necklace, period."
Meyers believes the defense will try and take advantage of the online sale, but she says, "That will just add around 30 minutes to cross examination. That's it."
Meyers doesn't think the jewelers' credibility will be harmed by the $2.99 deal. Lindsay has said the necklace was a loan and she didn't steal it. Meyers says it gets back to the issue, If she didn't steal it, "Why then did Lindsay return the necklace to the police?"
And sources say the owners of Kamofie & Company "got a raw deal" and haven't seen a penny of profits from the sale of the video, at least not yet. The sources say the owners were taken advantage of, and the contracts they made for the sale of the tape are now being reviewed by lawyers.

Party Foul! Adam Lambert made quite the impression at Lady Gaga's surprise twenty-fifth birthday party Sunday night, and not in a good way. The American Idol alum, 29, wasn't even invited to the bash at L.A.'s La Cita Mexican restaurant, but attended as a guest of the Scissor Sisters, who have been opening for the "Born this Way" singer on tour. Adam showed up very, very drunk. Lambert began some intense fist-pumping and kept beating on the walls until he'd actually punched a hole in the building's low ceiling. An eyewitness tells UsMagazine.com, "Adam acted like an animal. He kept jumping up on the tables and chairs and screaming. When they brought the cake out he tried to smear it in Gaga's face and put a doll from the cake in her mouth!" Then the "Whataya Want from Me" singer tried to serenade the birthday girl. Eventually Gaga asked her security to kick him out, added a witness. A rep for Lambert had no comment on the incident, but a few days later, Lambert acknowledged his bad behavior on his Twitter page. Indianapolis Colts superstar Dwight Freeney just reached a SIX-FIGURE settlement with his landlord -- who also happens to be the ex-wife of legendary music producer Babyface.
It all started back in December, when Freeney's landlord Tracey Edmonds -- who also dated Eddie Murphy -- filed a $400,000 lawsuit against him, claiming Freeney bilked her out of 11 months rent ... on two floors in her famous Edmonds Tower building in Hollywood.
According to the lawsuit, Freeney agreed to pay $37,500 per month for the space -- which he used for his recording studio -- but failed to pay more than one installment.
Now, it's all water under the bridge -- Tracey's lawyer negotiated a comfortable six-figure settlement ... and that's that.

Brand Sense Partners, LLC claims it had a deal with Brit in which the company would get 35% of Britney's profits in return for securing a perfume contract with Elizabeth Arden.
According to the lawsuit, Britney and her dad defrauded Brand Sense by entering into a secret deal with Elizabeth Arden, allegedly robbing Brand Sense of millions in the marketing of her perfume, Radiance suit claims Brand Sense caught Jamie "red-handed" in circumventing their deal.
The lawsuit seeks more than $10 million in damages.

NBC came under fire when it released the first photo of Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman earlier this month. Fanboys said she looked "too trashy, too bad-porn-y," and that her look wasn’t patriotic enough. Palicki's blue vinyl pants and blue boots were said to resemble footed pajamas, according to online commenters, and her patent-vinyl outfit "looks cheap" and "probably squeaks every time she moves" wrote blogs. The ESPN hoops analyst and former NBA star crashed while driving on an icy road in Michigan. After completing several field sobriety tests he was arrested for DUI.

Judge Judy said from her hospital bed to tell him she's fine, adding, "I'm just exhausted, and my body was telling me it needed a day to chill."
Judge Judy goes on to say, "I was feeling funky this morning ... funky enough that I knew someone should give a gander over what I got."
Judge Judy was taken by ambulance to the hospital after complaining of intestinal discomfort.
Judge Judy said, "I'm really fine. I wanted to go back to work this afternoon," adding, "I'm exhausted. I'm just tired. A lot of things just zoned together, including the bad news of the world."
Her Honor also said, "At my age, I know my body. My body is fine."
Judy says she's at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.., where she just had an MRI. Doctors are doing a few more tests and she says she'll be out today.
Judy says, "I'm gonna go home."
Judy has one big regret about going to the hospital. She says some people from Las Vegas were coming to see her this yesterday to talk about a new Judge Judy slot machine. She says the meeting will be put on hold for a week.

Brad Pitt looked ruggedly handsome -- with his slicked backed hair and goatee -- on the New Orleans, Louisiana set of his upcoming flick Cogan's Trade on Tuesday, and the photos are now online. Pitt, 47, has been spotted in recent weeks on the set of the film, in which he plays Jackie Cogan, a no-nonsense professional enforcer who investigates a heist that went down during a mob-protected poker game. The film -- which hits theaters on March 3, 2012 -- co-stars Sam Rockwell, Ray Liotta, James Gandolfini and Sam Shepard.

A man obsessed with singer Shania Twain was arrested Sunday night in Toronto during the Canadian Juno Awards for violating conditions to stay away from her. Dr. Giovanni Palumbo was arrested during the music awards show at the Air Canada Centre on March 27, where Twain was accepting her Canadian Music Hall of Fame induction. “He was charged with three counts of failed to comply recognizance,” according to Toronto Police. “Allegations were that he was seen at the Air Canada Centre on Sunday, March 27 during the Juno Awards. He was also charged with criminal harassment.” Palumbo was arrested just before 10 p.m. after someone in Twain’s “camp” recognized him in the crowd.
“Him being there within 20 meters of the victim was in breach. Therefore he was charged,” Drummond said. “He went to court the next day.” On Monday, Palumbo was ordered by the Justice of the Peace to again have no contact with Twain and a bail hearing has been scheduled for Friday. Not only did the 50-year-old doctor violate orders to stay away from Twain on Sunday, but he even went so far as to solicit the help of a Canadian reporter to try and set up a meeting between himself and the country music superstar.
Twain, who lives in Switzerland with her husband Frederic Thiebaud, failed to show up to a March 7 hearing in Canada after charges arose that Palumbo criminally harassed her by sending love letters and flowers to her home overseas. Palumbo has a long history of alleged obsession with the 45-year-old singer, including an arrest in 2009 where he was detained wearing a t-shirt bearing Twain’s face and carrying a copy of her biography.

Three-time Emmy nominee Will Arnett has been tapped to play opposite Christina Applegate in NBC’s untitled Emily Spivey project. The single camera comedy, from NBC studio and Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video Prods., takes an irreverent look at parenthood through the point of view of an acerbic working mother (Applegate), along with her stay-at-home husband (Arnett) and opinionated parents. Spivey (Parks and Recreation, Saturday Night Live) will serve as the project’s writer and executive producer, with Michaels (SNL, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, 30 Rock), Applegate and her manager, Management 360's Eric Kanzler, on board as executive producers. Arnett, whose TV credits includes Arrested Development, 30 Rock and Running Wilde, is repped by WME and Principato Young Management and Neil Meyer. He is also set to appear in the season finale of The Office.

Disney Interactive Studios is the latest game publisher to support Sony’s PlayStation 3 stereoscopic 3D technology. Cars 2: The Video Game, which ships June 21, will be the first 3D PS3 game from the game maker. The title will also be available in 2D on PC/Mac, Wii, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS.
“The advancement of 3D technology will allow us to immerse the player into the Cars 2 game environment in a whole new way,” says John Blackburn, vice president and general manager of Avalanche Software, developer of the new game.
Blackburn adds that the 3D effects will further engage players as they race through the single-player and multiplayer tracks and environments that are based on the June 24 Disney-Pixar computer-animated film. In its console battle with Microsoft and Nintendo, Sony has been actively marketing its stereoscopic 3D gaming and Blu-ray 3D capabilities, which allows gamers to experience new Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment releases like Tangled in stereo 3D. With Cars 2 available across all platforms, Sony can cater to the growing number of gamers who are buying 3D TVs. Down the road, gamers will be able to play the Blu-ray 3D version of Cars 2 and also experience the game set in that universe in 3D.

Holly Madison isn't dwelling on her split earlier this month from boyfriend Jack Barakat. "The last couple relationships I had were long distance, [and] it's not like I can make much of an effort to travel and see anybody. The guy had to do all the work, unfortunately." So, how can a guy meet Madison's standards? "It definitely takes a guy who is secure and not overprotective and doesn't feel threatened by a successful woman," she explains. "He needs to be patient and somebody who knows where he wants the relationship to go." For now, Madison is getting by just fine going solo. "I'm happy single, but I'm happy in both cases," she says when asked if she prefers being single or taken. "I feel like I definitely thrive more as a human and I'm more successful when I'm single." The Mascot for the "Final Four's" Butler University is living like a star! The bulldog named Blue 2 was treated to a puppy pampering at Good Dog Hotel & Spa in Indianapolis, IN earlier today. While chewing on a toy version of VCU's mascot the ram -- the 7-year-old English Bulldog enjoyed a soothing shampoo, nail trim and was even surprised with two younger and skinnier female bulldogs named Zadey and Zola. Blue 2 has been top dog around town and has even been given his own seat on a chartered flight, a four star hotel room and his own security team in Houston, TX.

Enrique Iglesias dropped out of the upcoming Britney Spears concert tour because his ego couldn't handle being her opening act ... multiple sources connected with the tour reveal. Lawyers and agents for Britney and Enrique were hammering out an agreement for weeks, and the terms were finessed to make Enrique appear to be a co-headliner. Both sides agreed to the deal and that's why the announcement was made Tuesday.
But just hours before Britney's camp went public, Enrique was burning up the phone lines and the Internet, engaging various people connected with the tour in lengthy conversations in which he made it clear -- he was, in reality, Britney's opening act and he wanted out.
One source says the deal was actually very favorable to Enrique ... "great terms and great placement." But it all came down to taking the stage before Brit -- too much to handle.

The Riverside County District Attorney has decided not to file criminal charges against Lindsay Lohan in connection with the altercation last December between Lindsay and a Betty Ford staffer. The D.A. believes there is "insufficient evidence" to prosecute Lindsay.
The Palm Desert Police Department had been investigating the confrontation between Lindsay and former staffer Dawn Holland, but ultimately the D.A. felt the firepower wasn't there.
So Lindsay only has one criminal case in play now.

Several season 12 competitors had danced their butts off Monday night to increase their standings on the leader board, but in the end Mike Catherwood, Wendy Williams and Sugar Ray Leonard came up with the lowest scores. Aaaaand it's back to the radio for Psycho Mike, who along with pro partner Lacey Schwimmer failed to make it past the first round of eliminations. "It's been such an amazing experience overall," said Catherwood, who was at the bottom of the scoring with 30 points out of 60. "It sucks to be sent home first, but I've made a lot of good friends." Surviving for at least another week were Williams, who earned 31 points, and boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, who had 34. Meanwhile, Ralph Macchio hung on to the top spot Monday, even though the judges were disappointed with his jive compared with last week's foxtrot.

After 17 years apart, Sylvester Stallone will finally be reunited with the legendary classic car featured in his movie "Cobra" ... after it was stolen out of his garage back in 1994. Sly never directly accused the company of stealing his ride ... he just wanted the damn thing back -- so he filed a lawsuit to regain possession. Now, Stallone and the company reached a settlement ... under which Sly will regain ownership of the whip ... estimated to be worth more than $250,000.

George Clooney says he's perplexed that he's been subpoenaed to testify at the prostitution trial of the Prime Minister of Italy.
Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is accused of paying to have sex with a 17-year-old Moroccan girl and then trying to cover it up.
Lawyers for the Italian Prime Minister say they want Clooney as a witness because the girl claims she had seen George and his girlfriend at one of Berlusconi's parties. It's unclear how that information would be relevant in the trial.
Clooney says, "It seems odd since I've only met Berlusconi once and that was in an attempt to get aid into Darfur."
The trial is set to begin on April 6 in Milan.

Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic have selected postproduction firm Prime Focus to handle the 2D-to-3D conversion of Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace, which is slated for theatrical release on Feb. 10, 2012. “It was incredibly important to me that we have the technology, the resources and the time to do this right,” George Lucas said in a statement. “I’m very happy with the results I’ve been seeing on Episode I.” Prime Focus’ proprietary View-D 2D-to-3D process is being used to convert the film. The process was first used in early 2010 to convert Clash of the Titans. More recently, it was employed on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Oprah Winfrey wants to end her iconic show by getting her hands on Donald Trump's iconic hair. We hear the Queen of Daytime Talk reached out to the "Apprentice" creator, along with a series of other big names, to come on for a makeover by top stylists on one of her last "Oprah" installments. According to sources, the e-mail invitation to Trump's office said, "The eyes of the world will be upon these episodes," given that "Oprah" will end its 25-year run in May. Sources told us the production team promised to let the real estate mogul promote "Celebrity Apprentice" and talk about his potential presidential bid. "Oprah" producers also vowed to treat Trump's makeover with "integrity" and "not let it become a joke or silly." Sources added that the invite noted, "This will become one of those historical television moments that will become iconic." Nickelodeon is honoring Justin Timberlake for more than his burping. The musician-turned-actor will receive the big help award on Saturday at the Kids' Choice Awards in L.A. for his charitable and environmental efforts. "I was inspired at a young age by my parents and family to do everything possible to give back to the world around us," Timberlake, 30, says in a statement. "And it has become a mission of mine to help kids of all ages understand the importance of getting involved in their communities and local charities and doing their part to preserve the planet." Timberlake has been a dedicated supporter of Shriners Hospitals for Children since 2008, and he hosts an annual PGA golf tournament with a week-long series of events that raises money for programs and services benefiting children in need. He also opened the environmentally friendly Mirimichi Golf Course in Millington, Tenn., which helps the surrounding wildlife habitat and uses less water. Aside from being a two-time burp award champion, Timberlake has also received two blimps from the Kids' Choice Awards. And he hosted the show in 2007. Willow Smith will perform at the show and that Kim Kardashian has signed on to present.

Natalie Portman's Black Swan dance double, Sarah Lane, caused a ballerina brew-ha-ha when she claimed that Portman, who won an Oscar for the role, did only 5 percent of full body shots in the film. Now the flick's director Darren Aronofsky is speaking out on behalf of the 29-year-old No Strings Attached actress. "I had my editor count. There are 139 dance shots in the film. 111 are Natalie untouched. 28 are her dance double Sarah Lane," he said. "If you do the math that’s 80% Natalie Portman. There are two complicated longer dance sequences that we used face replacement. Even so, if we were judging by time over 90% would be Natalie." Aronofsky went on to praise the effort Portman put into the performance. "And to be clear Natalie did dance on pointe in pointe shoes," continued the director. "I am responding to put this to rest and to defend my actor. Natalie sweated long and hard to deliver a great physical and emotional performance. And I don't want anyone to think that's not her they are watching. It is." Lane, who was credited in the film as "Hand Model,""Stunt Double," and the walk-on role "Lady in the Lane," claims she was discouraged from talking about her work in the movie during Award season. "They wanted to create this idea that Natalie was some kind of prodigy and worked so hard to make herself a ballerina in a year and a half, basically because of the Oscar," said Lane. Foxy Brown's fingernails have once again landed the singer in hot water -- this time, she was booted off a Royal Caribbean cruise because she flipped out after missing her at-sea manicure appointment. Passengers on the cruise claim Foxy set up a nail appointment on the cruise ship last Monday -- a day after the cruise took off -- and showed up three hours late.
The people at the salon couldn't accommodate her when she rolled around -- and Foxy went completely ballistic.
Security removed her from the salon and sent her back to her room -- where she remained under supervision until Wednesday ... when the ship dropped anchor somewhere in the Cayman Islands ... and authorities kicked her off.
Foxy -- who performed on board the day before the incident -- was then escorted to an airport and flown home. Brown has a storied history when it comes to cosmetics -- in 2004, she faced assault charges for allegedly beating up two nail salon employees ... and again in 2007 after allegedly beating up a beauty store employee.

Tuesday’s episode of Dancing With the Stars just got a little more interesting. Earlier today, Tom Bergeron said after Chris Brown’s well-publicized freakout on the set of fellow ABC program Good Morning America. Does Bergeron plan to mention the meltdown when he speaks to Brown on air. Bergeron’s answer makes it sound like he might go either way. “Well, here’s the thing,” he began. “I did say to the producers that it might be to their advantage to not have me interview him, because my natural tendency would be to say something. So don’t put me in a position where you’re asking me not to say something, because I won’t really do that.” Later, he laughed and joked that ABC’s execs will probably strap him into a “Hannibal Lecter suit” to keep him from saying anything that could make Brown’s visit even more awkward.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy isn't just "making time" for a "Dancing with the Stars" fan who's going through cancer treatment -- he's hooking her up with the experience of a lifetime. Maksim had been furiously trying to set up the perfect evening for a special VIP guest ... asking for front row seats for last night's show along with special backstage passes ... and there's a reason he's so motivated. A friend of Maksim's informed the dancer about a woman who was having a really tough time with recent cancer treatments -- and she happened to be a fan of the show. So Maksim sprung into action, instantly trying to do everything he could to help get her mind off the pain.

Charlie Sheen could have a hell of a time getting a room when his show rolls into town. He's playing Radio City on his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour April 8. But sources say he's not welcome at several top New York hotels -- especially The Plaza, where he famously trashed his room last October after partying with a hooker. Sources tell us The Plaza has made it clear Sheen won't be welcome back, while other high-profile properties, including the Waldorf-Astoria and the Trump Soho, have also turned him down. A source said, "Many of the big New York hotels don't want the drama. He is now looking at renting a private residence." Another source close to Sheen told us, "The real issue is finding him a hotel that allows smoking. He has to be able to smoke. And it's hard to find a place that will accommodate him, plus his entourage that will be more than 30, including the lighting people and of course the goddesses."

Denise Richards is furious that Charlie Sheen is tweeting she's a dog thief, and is telling friends Charlie is actually a dog abuser.
Back when Charlie and Denise split, Charlie took custody of her 2 pugs so the kids could play with them when they visited him -- which she had before they got married. Things were ok for a while, but after Charlie's meltdown at the Plaza hotel in NYC, Denise started getting calls that the pugs were malnourished and neglected.
Things became so alarming, Denise went to Charlie's and he gave her the dogs. Sadly, one of them died of malnutrition, but the other is ok.
Now Charlie wants the dog back, and sources say he just wants the pooch as a mascot on his tour bus.
As for Charlie's tweet -- "We must bombard with Warlock Napalm, that traitor and loser whore #DUH -neese POOR-ARD. A VILE KIDNAPPER AND NOW DOG THIEF. HATE."
But Denise is steadfast ... claiming Charlie can't even take care of himself and she's not giving up the pug.

They're back and getting into trouble again. The mischievous group of guys from The Hangover – Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) – are reuniting for The Hangover Part II, and if the poster is any indication, they're up to their old antics. This time the best pals travel to Thailand for Stu's wedding. According to the studio, Stu decides on a "safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch," instead of a wild bachelor party before he ties the knot. "However, things don't always go as planned," says the studio release. "What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can't even be imagined." Whatever happens, it apparently includes a monkey, a shaved head, a dank hotel room and one unfortunate face tattoo. The Hangover Part 2 hits theaters May 26.

One might have conservatively predicted Thursday's show would have been the end of Haley Reinhart – but this time she wasn't in the bottom three at all. Nope, it was a clearly shaken Casey Abrams voted off by the viewing public. And then he was saved. He took the microphone from Ryan and started to sing "Don't Need No Doctor," hoping for a rescue from the judges, but he was almost immediately cut off by Randy Jackson, waving for him to stop. You knew it wasn't to tell him to pack. The judges had no intention of letting the guy go – so no need to prove himself, either. "This is crazy wrong," said Steven Tyler. "We made a decision here to keep you on." Casey looked so blindsided, first by the bad news and then by the good, he seemed on the verge of collapse. It was hard to tell whether to be scared or happy for him. His hands were trembling violently as he touched his heart. "Are you kidding, are you kidding," he muttered over and over, as he staggered to the judges' table to thank them. He embraced Ryan and sank to his knees. He ran into the audience and hugged his parents, sobbing, "I love you so much!" At that point, Jennifer Lopez, who like Steven and Randy was floored by the public vote, almost apologetically suggested that perhaps Casey had been thrown off the right artistic course. Or was she referring to his medical problems? Everyone was caught up in the confusing adrenaline rush.

Casey Abrams, at least, still had the wits to ask how this will all work with the upcoming tour. The concluding total this week was supposed to be 10. Ah, Ryan helpfully stepped forward and announced that there will be two eliminations next week, and that a top 10-plus-one will make up the tour. That wasn't the only shock of the night: Casey was joined in the bottom two by Stefano Langone. Yes, yes, the guy who's got the old-fashioned boy-crooner thing going. Stefano. As for Stefano, he seriously miscalculated this week, singing "Hello" with a frenetic, almost histrionic urgency that was too much at odds with Lionel Richie's famous, whipped-cream original. Thia Megia joined them in the bottom three. This all happened in the last 18 minutes. The rest of the show included performances by Sugarland and Jennifer Hudson, and a bizarre visit from Hulk Hogan. Oh – and Stevie Wonder came out to sing "Happy Birthday" to Steven, who's turning 63 on March 26. Happy birthday!

MORE JAIL TIME FOR LINDSAY LOHAN?

Just when Lindsay Lohan thought her legal problems couldn't get any worse ... cops are reigniting their investigation into allegations she attacked a Betty Ford staffer.
In the last two days, the Riverside County District Attorney's Office sent investigators to meet with key witnesses who were with Lindsay on December 12, 2010 -- the night she allegedly got into a tussle with Dawn Holland.
Cops told the witnesses they were conducting the investigation because the D.A. is still determining whether to pursue criminal assault charges against Lohan.
Investigators wanted to know if the witness could testify if it was Lindsay or Dawn who was the "aggressor" during that fateful night. They also wanted to know if the witness could describe any sort of injury Dawn may have suffered during the incident. Investigators also wanted to know if the witnesses would cooperate with authorities if the case went to trial ... but the witnesses wouldn't give a definitive answer.

Danny McBride went bar hopping in Georgia... and wound up at a local police station ... but the "Eastbound and Down" star was ONLY guilty ... of being awesome. McBride was partying at some bars near the University of Georgia in Athens ... and tried to walk back to his hotel around 1:30 AM ... when a crowd of college kids recognized Danny and began following him down the street asking for photos and autographs.
A bike cop saw the crowd of people and became concerned about a possible mob situation. The officer then peddled over to Danny ... and after a brief conversation, the actor agreed to go with the cop to a nearby police station.
Danny told officers he was merely trying to get back to his hotel when he was swarmed by the locals. Cops eventually let him go ... and even called a cab for the actor.

The Giants QB and his 26-year-old wife, who live in Hoboken, New Jersey during the season, have "bought another apartment on their floor in order to expand it into the baby wing." Rebecca Black: One of my friends had done something like this, so I researched it, and I found Ark. We pretty much found them. The next thing I knew I was in the recording studio.
Us: Your success seemed to come overnight. How does it feel?
RB: It's indescribable. I’m so overwhelmed right now with all this. Yeah, there are people that love it, but there are people that hate it. I feel so blessed, but overwhelmed.
Us: How does it make you feel when people come out and say such negative things about it?
RB: I don’t even look at in anymore, and if I do see it, it doesn’t bother me. I have been through so much hate in my life. It doesn’t bother me anymore.
Us: People have been mean outside of this?
RB: Yeah, before it started, there were a lot of people who just didn’t like me. They were pretty open and expressive about it. I’m just used to the hatred.
Us: How did you get over that, or are you still kind of dealing with it?
RB: Now I have realized, that that's their opinion. I have my own. They can think what they want and so can I. That just helps me with it. My mom is my biggest fan. She is so supportive, and she would always say that everything happens for a good, positive reason. Those people are the people that have no lives sitting on a computer all day thinking about what to say.
Us: What does your dad think about all this?
RB: My dad is my bodyguard. He is always so protective, and has always been supportive as well. He's just telling me to do what I love to do. There are going to be haters, but don’t let them bring you down.
Us: Have you been noticing when you go out that people recognize you?
RB: Yeah. I have noticed that sometimes people give me weird looks. They recognize me or ask for a picture or autograph. I think it’s adorable.
Us: I hear that Simon Cowell reached out to you!
RB: Yeah. We were sitting somewhere yesterday, and apparently Simon Cowell said that anyone who can create that much controversy in a week is someone he wants to meet.
Us: Have you set that up yet?
RB: I think we are in the process.
Us: Who are some of you idols?
RB: Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez. Those are my biggest musical influences, and I love what they have done with their careers.
Us: Are you ready to sell out Madison Square Garden like Justin Bieber?
RB: Yeah. You never know. I’m ready. I’ve got the strength. I’ve got the drive. I’m ready for it all.
Us: So, who are the people in the video? Are they your friends?
RB: Yep, they are all my really good friends. We all go to the same school.
Us: What does your school think? Are you going to perform it?
RB: My school is so supportive of the whole thing. I’m not performing it at school, but they play my song during lunch.
Us: Any boyfriend or are you too young?
RB: I’ve had boyfriends, but I don’t have one at the moment.
Us: Has anything really shocked you with this, this week? Maybe one of your idols reaching out or tweeting about it?
RB: Seeing Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas tweeting about it, Justin Bieber tweeted about it today. That's crazy!
Us: Wow, so are you going to tweet them back?
RB: I haven't really gotten the chance to tweet people back. I tweeted Ryan Seacrest, because he helped me set it up.
Us: The song is on iTunes now, so you must be making a lot of money!
RB: I think that I get 60% and Ark gets 40%. I am donating money to my school and Japan. My school, El Rancho Charter is really where I started focusing on singing. I feel bad. Japan happened so close to mine, and I feel like I’m taking away attention from it. I really just want to give back.
Us: Are you still able to be a normal 13-year-old?
RB: I’ve definitely got some time, barely any though. I’m still just a 13-year-old that has best friends, and I still get to hang out with them and be who I was before this all happened.
Us: Can you go back to school? Go back to some normalcy?
RB: I wouldn't say I can be normal at school anymore. People recognize me so much more. People who I've never met before are saying hi to me in the halls. I’ve definitely gotten a lot more well known around my school.

GHOSTS invaded the "American Idol" mansion in Beverly Hills -- and the finalists got so freaked, they MOVED OUT of the place Monday night for good.
The supernatural drama began after contestants complained about bizarre flickering lights inside the house ... followed by a spooky spider infestation.
But the paranormal activity that sent the contestants over the edge happened last week -- when several Idol contestants claim they watched a bed sheet suddenly take on a life of its own and FLOAT down an empty hallway!!!
And as if the ghosts weren't enough, Sunday's torrential rains caused the roof to leak like a mutha.
The contestants FREAKED OUT and demanded to move ... and "Idol" producers obliged.
The gang is now safely holed up in an undisclosed location.

Don't plan on seeing Nicki Minaj at the judges table on "X Factor" -- Nicki will NOT be taking a gig on the show. Rumors of Minaj's participation on the show have been spreading like wildfire ... with Simon Cowell himself fanning the flames ... but sources connected to Minaj tell us she won't be a judge on the show ... adding, "There's nothing going on with [X Factor]."
Earlier this week, Cowell told reporters that many of the names rumored to be in talks with the show were most likely leaked from his own company in an effort to stir up interest in the show.
Jessica Simpson and Paula Abdul were among the rumored candidates for the judge's positions ... but so far, no word on where they stand with the show.

Whoopi explained how she smoked a "wonderful joint" to help calm her nerves before winning the Best Supporting Actress award for "Ghost" ... and was so high during the award show, she had to mentally coach herself on to the stage. After the Oscars, Goldberg says she got a call from her mother -- who could tell Whoopi had smoked weed because of her "glistening eyes."

Lindsay Lohan will NOT take the plea deal the judge is offering in her felony grand theft case. Lindsay met with her lawyer, Shawn Holley Tuesday afternoon. Holley laid out the options but left the decision to Lindsay, who said she's firm about her innocence and wants to push it to the wall at trial.
Lindsay's felony grand theft case will now be assigned to Judge Stephanie Sautner -- who's considered a tough but fair judge -- and the preliminary hearing is set for April 22.
Lindsay faces both jail and prison as the case moves on -- jail, if Judge Sautner decides Lindsay violated her probation, and prison, if Lindsay is convicted of grand theft.
Lindsay was reportedly crazy not to accept the plea deal, not because she'd be found guilty of grand theft ... but the way the system is set up, Lindsay could be thrown in jail for the probation violation before her grand theft trial.
Here's the good news for Lindsay. If she had accepted a plea deal, she would have been placed on 3 years probation -- and Lindsay staying out of trouble for 3 years is highly improbable.
Fact is ... Lindsay has a credible defense in the grand theft case, and if Judge Sautner agrees NOT to rule on the probation violation until a verdict is reached in the grand theft case, Lindsay could get off scot-free.

Turns out Lindsay Lohan was just a warm-up act for her daddy at the Beverly Hills Courthouse, because Michael Lohan will go before the very same judge in the very same courtroom in which Lindsay appeared.
Truth be told ... Lindsay has faced two judges in Bev Hills -- Marsha Revel and Elden Fox. Michael's domestic violence case will go before either Revel or Fox.
At least Michael won't have to ask for directions.

Charlie Sheen thinks the deck is stacked against him in his holy war with Warner Bros. over "Two and a Half Men," and he wants a public trial, not a closed-door arbitration. Charlie -- who was fired by Warner Bros. and is suing the company for $100,000,000 -- claims Warner Bros. is trying to force the case into private arbitration because the judges who preside over these arbitrations do lots of business with Warner Bros.
So Charlie has filed legal papers, asking for a public trial in a public courthouse.

Chris Brown has publicly apologized a day after freaking out backstage following an interview and performance on "Good Morning America" -- but claimed he got angry because the interview went beyond "talking points" his camp submitted, something ABC News denied. "First of all, I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, or anybody who was offended or really looked, and [was] disappointed at my actions," Brown said. "Because I'm disappointed in the way I acted.” "Yes, I got very emotional," he later added. "And I apologize for acting like that." Brown emphasized that he did not hurt anyone backstage at "GMA" but had to release "the anger that I had inside of me." He grew angry after, he claimed, he was thrown off balance by questions about his domestic abuse incident involving his ex-girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna, in an interview he believed would focus on his new album. In a prepared statement, ABC News said, "Chris Brown was invited on 'Good Morning America' to perform and to be interviewed. There were no talking points offered." Brown told BET that he saw the interview differently. "I felt like, 'OK, they told us this just so they can get us on the show so they can exploit me.' You know, that's what I thought," Brown told BET. "I kind of took it very, very hard. And I kept my composure throughout the interview, although you could see me upset, you know. I kept my composure and did my performances, and when I got back, I just let off, like, steam in the back."

Robin Roberts says she was "shocked like everybody else" when she heard about Chris Brown's violent outburst behind the scenes at "GMA" -- but now, she wants him back on the show!
Roberts said on "Good Morning America", "We wish [Brown] the absolute best and...we've extended the invitation to him and I sure hope that he takes us up on it, because we'd love to have another chat with him."
Robin also insists she spoke with Chris about the Rihanna questions before yesterday's interview -- saying, "Anytime we have a guest here on the program, we let them know ahead of time the subject matter, the topics that we're going to discuss and we, even right before the interview, I said that to Chris and I was shocked like everybody else was."
No word if Brown plans to take "GMA" up on their offer.

While singing her single "Whip My Hair," Bieber's manager Scooter Braun and "swagger coach" Ryan Good popped out of nowhere in wigs and makeup -- and were quickly followed by Justin himself, who couldn't resist adding some much needed cowbell to the tune.
Willow's brother, Jaden, also joined in on the action -- and started whipping his hair around his surprised sis on stage.

Elizabeth Taylor will be laid to rest at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery, next to her mother and father. The crypt -- close to Marilyn Monroe's -- is next to those of her parents, Francis and Sara.
The cemetery is filled with stars, including Natalie Wood, Roy Orbison, Farrah Fawcett, Dean Martin, Merv Griffin and Truman Capote.
