UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER CONTEST



Do you have an ugly Christmas sweater?  Know someone that does?  Take a picture of them, or you wearing it.  Send it to us, and you could win a $100 gift card to Levis Commons!  It's pretty awesome, right?

Here's how to enter the contest...

Take a picture of you or your friend wearing the UGLY Christmas Sweater (or just take a picture of the sweater).  Make sure the resolution of your picture is AT LEAST 800x600.  It could be bigger...but if it's smaller than 800x600, it's not going to look as awesome as the other photos...so please consider that before taking and sending your picture.  Sending in a picture not only gives us permission to use it, you also agree that you own the copyright / rights to the picture. 

Also, please make sure the sweater is not pornographic.  YES, we've gotten a few already, and apparently you need to be told not send them.  This is NO joke.  Pornographic or offensive pictures will be deleted and not included in the contest.  However we may use them for something else.   

We also need to be very clear about this next rule.  You are NOT allowed to take pictures from the internet and claim they are yours.  Especially if you take them from certain sites that sell Christmas sweaters and passing them off as your own.  We're not interested in getting in the middle of copyright problems, that's why you should read the above rule; which basically states that if you send us a picture, you agree that you're the one that owns the picture, and its copyright.

When you email Sid, make sure to include your phone number so we can get in touch with you IF you win.

When Sid receives your picture, he'll email you to let you know he got it, and that it will be included in the contest.

Wait until Wednesday at 6am to see your picture posted right here, on this page. 

Tell your friends to vote, because you only have until Friday at 7:15 a.m. to get as many votes as you can.  (Each computer or device can only vote once, so you can't spam the voting.)

We'll announce the winner at 7:30 a.m. on Friday morning.  If you're the person that gets the most votes, and you win the contest, we'll call you, so make sure you're ready to talk to us and hear us tell you that you've won a $100 gift card to Levis Commons!

**Deadline for all entries in Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 6:00 a.m.  Send your pictures to  sid@925kissfm.com.  Sending in your picture automatically gives WVKS (92.5 KISS FM) and "The Morning Rush" permission to post the photo to our website, and use in this contest.  Entries MUST be received digitally.  We will not accept "old school" pictures of your sweater, so please don't drive down to the station and beg our staff to scan it and upload it.    
All pictures that feature someone's face will be blacked out.  Sorry, it's about the sweater, not your beautiful face. 
Voting begins at 6 a.m. Wednesday, December 19th.  Voting ends at 7:15 a.m. Friday, December 21st.  The winners will be called.  The person that sends in the picture does NOT have to be the person in the picture.  Actually, the person that sends in the photo doesn't even have to know the person wearing the sweater. 
In the amazing event that you win our "Ugly Sweater Contest" we'll call you Friday, December 21st at 7:25 a.m.  If we can't get in touch with you, we'll leave a message and eventually get in touch with you so you can get your gift card.  We will be a little bummed we didn't get to tell you that you've won on the air, but you'll get your prize as deserved.
