There was a massive plane crash in Afghanistan that killed 7 Americans. This video surfaced online that is supposed to be from the crash, but it has not been confirmed. There are a few problems that have come about that make the NTSB skeptical on its authenticity.
One...the dashboard camera shows the wrong date. (Apparently this could happen if the camera loses its power supply.)
Two...there's clearly a microphone that provides audio, but when the plane crashes you can't hear it.
Those two facts are causing the NTSB to investigate this as a possible fraud.
Al Qaeda is claiming that they shot down the aircraft. The United States is denying that statement.

We've learned that a man from Monroe was among the seven people killed in the crash. 33-year-old Jaime Brokaw was the pilot on the plane.
Jaime lived in Monroe, Michigan and spent time practicing at the Custer Airport. He was a certified flight engineer and came from a family of pilots.
Our thoughts go out to the family.
