Police are actively searching for the two bank robbers
Two inmates escaped Tuesday morning from the federal jail in the Loop, using bedsheets tied together to rappel 15 floors to the ground.
Sources told CBS 2 that the two are convicted bank robbers: Kenneth Conley, 38. and Jose Banks, 37. The prisoners were last checked at 5:30 a.m. The two could now be wearing white t-shirts, gray sweatpants and white gym shoes, authorities said.
