The officer chatted with the boy about the proper use of 9-11

(Brockton, MA)  --   A police officer was dispatched to a Brockton, Massachusetts home, not because of an emergency, but because a ten-year-old boy didn't want to go to bed, and called 9-11 Wednesday night to voice his displeasure.

He didn't actually speak with anyone on the emergency line, but his hangup triggered a callback and a visit from a police officer.

The officer chatted with the boy about the proper use of 9-11 and left without filing any charges.
